Booked this place in a panic after we found less than ideal conditions at the 1st place we booked. Staff was amazingly accommodating and friendly when we showed up right after midnight to check in. Place is clean and relatively updated. We liked the laminate flooring over other places with carpet. Good water pressure for the shower and hot water lasted a good long while. Reasonable and competitive rates compared to similar motel/hotels in the area. Central to major shopping center and restaurants.
Thank God this place was open!!!! EVERYTHING EVERYTHING was sold out and the room we booked had dog hair everywhere and we checked out. We came across this place and it was AMAZING. The rooms are very clean and the environment was quiet. I slept like an angel, and I spent hundreds less than my husband did for the doggy room.
Very comfortable and relaxing get away....I hear there is new management!! On behalf of the city we appreciate the turn around... along with the politeness, respectfulness and the well clean kept grounded of the hotel.... it's the first hotel I've been to were I actually relaxed and felt safe doing so....management just doesn't want your money.... they are more interested in making sure everyone has an amazing experience... again thank you... Whenever time comes for relaxation you will always get my business....
I was pretty hesitant about this place because there are a couple of bad reviews and it being one of the cheapest if not the cheapest hotels in Newport News I figured it was going to be a little bit dirty and a little bit old. I'm super picky and will most definitely have request a new room if I find the room hasn't properly been clean so I figured it was worth the risk. We were very surprised to find that our room was cannot only newly renovated but very clean. Of course it's nothing fancy but it was much nicer than we expected. Even the Wi-Fi signal was decent. The bed was nice and soft to although you might want to bring some spare pillows because while there is are okay they're not the best. The front desk staff was very friendly as well.
We had driven over 4hrs and had a room booked at another motel... after walking into the room we turned around and left... I seen this motel while driving by and called to check availability... the man I spoke with was polite, and when we arrived, he allowed me to see the room before paying for it. Much nicer, modern, cleaner than the one up the street. We would stay here again.
It's worth the price charged. Clean rooms, clean bed linen. The only downside is that it's far from the beach.
I used to live here for three months. The desk people were nice. I stayed to myself. Ate next door at times. Went to the Walmart. Never had a problem with parking or anyone staying. A man was fixing my ac because of a problem. He was nice & friendly.
Rooms were good. service was understanding and was on point. few small mistakes here and there but overall best bang for the buck in this area
